On Tuesday, February 13th, the Wolfe City ISD 3rd - 5th grade and middle school music students visited Dodd City ISD to hear a performance and presentation by their high school band. Dodd City is a small, 1A school with a growing band program. Only five short years ago, Dodd City had no band, just like Wolfe City currently. Now there are over 100 students in the high school and middle school bands. As Wolfe City ISD continues to implement plans to bring band back, Ms. Bennett wanted our Wolfe City students to to experience firsthand the exciting possibilities that lie ahead for them.

Mrs. Wild, the Dodd City band director, and the high school band gave an outstanding and entertaining presentation to our students. They played a few numbers, demonstrating their versatility, and also played the instruments individually, and showed the ranges of each. Many Wolfe City students commented on how impressed they were with the size of the band, how fantastic they sounded, and how much they enjoyed getting to hear the band live. Several of our students were overheard planning what instruments they'd like to play at Wolfe City. Thanks for having us, Dodd City!
